Giant Easter Eggs
As part of Bluewaters Easter celebrations we we're asked to design and build a number of giant Easter eggs which would be featured on display within the shopping centre over the holiday period.
As these giant eggs ranged between four and six foot and was going to be positioned within the reach of the public we had to come up with a solution to make sure they would be safe and stable while hard wearing and able to endure a week surrounded by the public.
First off our scenic team poly carved the eggs, these were then mounted on to steel bases which would allow for screwing into a sub floor. From here we did various structural tests before moving on to foam coating and hard skinning to allow for durability and a quality paint finish. Our scenic team worked with a number of different paint designs all which were meticulously completed by hand before being delivered and installed in Bluewater shopping centre.
The week went extremely good with the eggs being received well by both The Bluewater shopping centre and the public. As a result we was asked to build more giant eggs for the following year!
